i2002 – INTERNATIONALE SOLIDARITAETSKONFERENZ
Im Juni 1999 trafen sich in San Francisco (USA) ArbeiterInnen aus
anarcho-syndikalistischen, revolutionaer-syndikalistischen und
unionistischen Organisationen vieler Laender zur Internationalen
Solidaritaets Konferenz I99. Sie tauschten vier Tage lang ihre Erfahrungen
aus und diskutierten u.a. ueber den Kampf gegen die Weltbank, ebenso wie
ueber die Verbindung von ArbeiterInnen-Kaempfen mit solchen zum Thema
Umweltschutz und gegen die Armut. Besonders wichtig aber waren die
Diskussionen ueber einen verbesserten internationalen Austausch zwischen den
beteiligten ArbeiterInnen.
Heute, zwei Jahre danach, moechten wir diesen Faden weiterspinnen und euch
zu einem Nachfolgetreffen, dem I2002 einladen. Vom 29. August bis zum 1.
September 2002 wollen wir in Essen (Deutschland), die Diskussionen, die wir
in San Francisco begonnen haben, weiterfuehren und intensivieren. Die
kapitalistische Globalisierung, die bereits auf dem I99 Gespraechsthema war,
ist in den letzten zwei Jahren u.a. durch die Demonstrationen in Seattle,
Quebec, Prag, Goeteborg und Genua aber besonders durch die
Verschlechterung der eigenen Lage ins Bewusstsein vieler ArbeiterInnen
gerueckt, der Widerstand gegen die kapitalistische Ausbeutung waechst
weltweit.
Wir wollen auf dem I2002 darueber diskutieren, wie wir unsere
gewerkschaftlichen Kaempfe weltweit besser koordinieren koennen und wie wir
unsere reichhaltigen Erfahrungen selbst organisierter Kaempfe gegen
kapitalistische Ausbeutung und staatliche Bevormundung anderen ArbeiterInnen
rund um den Globus zugaenglich machen koennen. Daneben wollen wir wieder dem
konkreten Erfahrungsaustausch einen breiten Raum einraeumen.
Wir rufen euch auf: Kommt nach Essen, bringt eure Erfahrungen mit! Lasst uns
diskutieren und einen naechsten Schritt tun im Kampf fuer eine freie Welt
jenseits der kapitalistischen Ausbeutung und der staatlichen Unterdrueckung!
Die i2002 Organisationsgruppe
der FAU-IAA
Die einzige Bedingung, die wir an diejenigen stellen, die am i2002-Kongress
teilnehmen moechten, ist, dass sie den folgenden vier Prinzipien zustimmen.
– Die Klasse derjenigen, die gezwungen sind ihre Arbeitskraft zu verkaufen
(ArbeiterInnen-Klasse) und die Ausbeuter-Klasse haben nichts gemeinsam.
– Die ArbeiterInnen-Klasse muss sich selbst organisieren um die
Ausbeuterklasse zu bekaempfen.
– Das wichtigste Kampfmittel der ArbeiterInnen-Klasse ist die Direkte
Aktion.
– Nur die ArbeiterInnen selbst koennen das globale System der
kapitalistischen Ausbeutung beenden.

i2002 is an international solidarity conference for syndicalist unionists from all over the world. The conference will be held in the city of Essen (Germany) from August 29 to September 1, 2002. The aim of the conference is to exchange experience of workers‘ struggles and improve global communication and solidarity around those struggles.
This website is preliminary for the moment. It will be expanded within the next few months and updated regularly in order to provide all the texts and cover the organizational issues which comrades planning to take part in the conference need to know.

i2002 – International Solidarity Conference
In June 1999 workers from anarcho-syndicalist, revolutionary-syndicalist and industrial unionist organizations from many countries came together in San Francisco (USA) at the International Solidarity Conference I99. For four days they shared their experience and discussed many issues including the struggle against the World Bank, ways of linking workers’ struggles with environmental activism, and the fight against poverty. A topic of particular importance was how to ensure ongoing international communication between the workers attending the conference.
Now, two years later, we want to build on that good start and invite you to a follow-up gathering, i2002, to be held from 29th August to 1st September 2002 in Essen (Germany). We want to carry on and intensify the discussions begun in San Francisco. Capitalist globalization, a major topic at I99, has been thrust into the consciousness of many workers in the last two. Partly this is due to the impressive demonstrations in Seattle, Quebec, Prague, Gothenburg and Genoa, but mainly to the worsening of workers‘ own situation. Resistance against capitalist exploitation is mounting all around the world.
At the i2002 conference we want to discuss how to improve the coordination of union struggles world-wide and how our own rich experience of self-organized struggle against capitalist exploitation and state control can be made available to other workers around the world. There will again be plenty of opportunity for sharing concrete experience.
Come to Essen and bring your experience with you! Together we can talk and take the next step in the struggle for a free world – a world without capitalist exploitation and state oppression!

The only precondition for participants at the i2002 conference is that they agree with the following four principles:
The class of those who are forced to sell their labour power (the working class) and the class of exploiters have nothing in common.
The working class must organize independently in order to fight the class of exploiters.
In this struggle the working class’s most important weapon is direct action.
Only the workers themselves can do away with the global system of capitalist exploitation.
